I’m the second engineer and the 007th employee 🕵. I focus primarily on system architecture and software design, helping build the right software by asking a lot (and I do mean a lot) of questions.
I’ve been working in the software compliance industry for a few years. I’ve gathered quite a bit of experience working with SaaS products and building software starting at an early development stage. I’ve always been excited about the startup environment and how you get to learn and improve on the way, which is just one of the reasons I joined Avallone.
Being the second engineer came with a lot of hats in the bag. Every day, I’d pull out a new one and take on a slightly different responsibility which came with its own challenges and learnings. I’m still amazed by the amount of experience that people around me have within their industries, and I feel lucky to be part of it. Every day, I learn something new about KYC and AML - which is actually way more interesting than it sounds… Trust me!
It’s quite difficult to choose one particular value. As an engineer, I love the fact that we have a value that says that we do the right thing and not the easy one. Sometimes, we might be tempted to cut a corner, but the fact that we can ask ourselves if it is the right thing to do is something very close to my heart. Every opinion counts but fact and logic wins, is another value I hold high, and together, these two values make up the core of who I am.
